Roanoke College, the country’s second oldest Lutheran-related college, is an independent, coeducational, four-year liberal arts college. Its 1,900 students represent Virginia, 40 states across the U.S. and 26 foreign countries. It offers 34 majors with bachelor’s degrees in arts, science and business, as well as pre-professional majors in law, medicine, dentistry, engineering and ministry.

The college is listed in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Colleges Guide as a national liberal arts college. Roanoke College is one of just 276 colleges nationwide with chapters of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s oldest and most prestigious honor society.
