Honors Program

Honors Conference Week is approaching!  The theme this year is Captain Planet!  Click here, or the picture, to see the schedule of events.

Roanoke College's Honors Program is a program designed for students who excel in academics, have strong leadership skills, and pursue numerous extracurricular activities. The Honors Program provides these students with many distinct educational opportunies and classes. The Honors program is also a wonderful way to meet new friends and form strong bonds with other Honors students.

An example of the strong community formed can be found in Honors Housing. As upperclassmen, honors students have the opportunity to live in Honors Housing, one and a half floors (35 rooms) in Allegheny Hall. Additionally, honors students have access to the Honors Lounge, located in Crawford Hall, to use for studying, playing, or even cooking!

Students in the Honors program are strongly encouraged to get involved in the campus community, as well as the surrounding community. Honors students are required to attend a certain number of on campus activities, as well as serving certain number of community service hours.

On campus events include activities such as art shows, coffee shop discussions, operas and symphonies, plays, presentations, and participating in the numerous Honors Week activities.
