Recent Awards

Award recipients from the past several years include the following:

Jake V. Bennett received a Goldwater Scholarship.

Jessica L. Simmers received a Goldwater Scholarship.

Amanda Painter, Mary Shannon Teague, Sarah Teitt, and Megan Collins have received Freeman Scholarships.

Brian B. Clark received a Udall Scholarship.

Christopher G. Earnhart received a National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Fellowship.

Matthew L. Roberts became a Finalist in the Truman competition (one of 5 from Virginia and 230 nationwide).

Adiyah A. Ali received a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Scholarship for Minority Students.

Susan M. Foster, a Roanoke College alumna, received a Fulbright Award for research in Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua.
