Mission: Student Health Services is committed to promoting health for the whole person by fostering physical and emotional well-being. We engage students in information sharing and skill development that favors healthy lifestyle choices. Empowering students to accept responsibility for their health challenges the individual and integrates health education into campus culture.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Appointments: Walk-ins are welcome; however appointments are strongly encouraged to minimize waiting time. M.D. visits are by appointment only.

Cost: There is no charge for routine visits. In house lab testing, special exams and immunizations incur charges payable by cash, check, Maroon Money, VISA or MasterCard.

Eligibility: Any full-time student is eligible for services.

Health Insurance: Strongly recommended for all students. RoanokeCollege offers an insurance plan that is administered by GM-Southwest, www.gmsouthwest.com, select “Collegiate Protection Plus.” Students should carry a copy of current insurance information, including prescription cards to all health care providers.

Confidentiality: All consultations and medical records are kept completely confidential.  No information will be discussed with or released to anyone without the student’s consent. Medical records and academic records are not connected in any way.
