Experiential Opportunities offers students access to internships and service learning opportunities abroad as well as involvement in the Washington Semester program. Past internship and service opportunities include: - Clint Nichols '05 spent his last semester as an intern with the American Embassy in Lima, Peru. As a Spanish major, he took part in the College's May Intensive Learning Program to Chile in 2004, and then won a national competition to work in Lima as one of two student interns at the consular office. Nichols is currently working in Washington, D.C., with one of Virginia’s Congressional offices.

Amy Cline '01 spent a semester at the University of East Anglia and worked in the study abroad office for a year. Upon graduation, she worked at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. as a tour organizer for their noted excursions around the world to destinations on every continent. - Tim Wright '02 spent a semester at the Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires, Argentina. As a senior, he served as campus president of the Hispanic Student Organization (HOLA). Upon graduation, Wright worked at the Fulbright Commission for International Education Exchange in Washington, D.C., specializing in Latin America. He is currently working in Mexico City for COMEXUS, the Commission on Mexican American Educational Exchange.
