International Admissions

Roanoke College has a long history, beginning in the 1880's, of welcoming students from other countries to our campus, and our campus is greatly enriched every year by the presence of students from all over the world. We have recently enrolled students from Armenia, the Bahamas, Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, France, Georgia, Germany, India, Jamaica, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Mexico, Mongolia, Myanmar, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Palestinian Territories, Peru, Romania, Senegal, South Korea, and Spain.

Our international graduates have been very successful in their careers and in graduate school. Miro Batka (Slovakia) is working for an international economics NGO in Washington DC, Tamara Laszlo (France), who is working in Paris for a company that specializes in international communications, Juliana Freire (Brazil), who won a scholarship to study for her Ph.D. in Spanish at the University of Arizona, and Tatiana Melnikova (Tajikistan), who earned a full scholarship to study for her Ph.D. economics at Northeastern University (Boston) are just a few examples.

Roanoke College has specific admission requirements for international students. For more information on how to apply, please contact Elise Bennett or visti the international admissions Web site.
