Things Freshmen Should Know

01. Use your advisors! They're here to help.
02. Plan to wear summer attire well into October.
03. If you're not from the South, you'll realize the versatility and contagiousness of the word "y'all."
04. Use all your meal card swipes - they'll build up and go to waste if you don't.
05. Be prepared for some outdoor adventures in the beautiful mountains, rivers and lakes.
06. Be prepared for pranks and to pull them in your freshman dorm.
07. You don't need a car to get around - You can walk to just about everything or take the Maroon Express.
08. Have coffee with your professors - they're some of the most interesting people you'll ever meet.
09. No, there probably won't be snow days during fall semester.
10. Campus jobs are really convenient and provide a great firsthand learning experience.
