Message from Co-Chairs

Dear fellow Roanoke Parent:

The new academic year is upon us. Classes have started, athletic teams are practicing and friends are gathering to welcome each other back to campus. When our daughter, Sarah, arrived for her junior year at Roanoke she was greeted by familiar faces and looked forward to meeting a new group of incoming students.

Last year we were asked to take on a special role at Roanoke as co-chairs of the Parent Leadership Council (PLC). The Council gives parents an opportunity to become involved in their student's education and the Roanoke College community through their philanthropic generosity. The PLC supports the Roanoke Fund, which strengthens academic programs and enhances student life by providing resources for the College's most critical needs. We hope that through our involvement and support of the PLC, our daughter and every other student on campus will have a memorable Roanoke experience.

We welcome you to join us at this year's Family Weekend, which is scheduled for September 25-27, 2009. You can spend time with your son or daughter, meet other parents and enjoy all that this beautiful campus has to offer. A full schedule of events can be found at www.roanoke.edu/familyweekend.
