State and Federal Grants
You must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), each year to be eligible for federal funds. Eligible students may benefit from federally funded programs such as:
Federal Pell Grant: $890 to $4,731
Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG): $750 for freshmen, $1,300 for sophomores
National Science and Mathematics Access to Retain Talent (SMART) Grant: $4,000
Supplemental Opportunity Grant (SEOG): $500 to $1,000
Teacher Education assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program: $4,000
Federal Work-Study Program: $1,500 (average)
Federal Perkins Loan: $1,500 average
Subsidized or Unsubsidized Stafford Loan:
Freshman $3,500 + Additional $2,000 Unsubsidized Loan Funds
Sophomore $4,500 + Additional $2,000 Unsubsidized Loan Funds
Junior/Senior $5,500 + Additional $2,000 Unsubsidized Loan Funds
