Roanoke College's Presidential Inauguration includes Showcase of the Arts

SALEM, VA-Roanoke College's inauguration includes a Showcase of the Arts to take place on Monday, Oct. 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the College's Olin Theater. The event is open to the public at no charge, but complimentary tickets are required. Tickets can be reserved by calling (540) 378-5166.

The showcase will feature performances by student musical groups, student theater groups, Roanoke College fine arts and music faculty and the Kandinsky Trio. Seating is limited; check-in will be required at the door.

Performers will include: The Kandinsky Trio, the Roanoke College jazz ensemble, the Roanoke College choir and members of the College's theatre faculty.

The Showcase of the Arts is part of Roanoke College's presidential inauguration celebration. Michael Creed Maxey, Roanoke's 11th president, will be officially installed in a ceremony on Friday, Oct. 26.

Roanoke College, the country's second oldest Lutheran-related college, is an independent, co-educational, four-year liberal arts college. Roanoke is one of just 276 colleges nationwide with a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation's oldest and most prestigious honor society.
