Campus Activities Board

Campus Activities Board - cab@roanoke.edu
The Campus Activities Board (CAB) is responsible for the coordination of the activities and scheduling of events by its constituent student organizations within the context of the college's activities calendar.

Inter-Fraternity Council - ifc@roanoke.edu
The Inter-Fraternity Council (IFC) is the governing body for the men's social greek organizations. IFC is responsible for organizing and conducting the annual rush events.

Inter-Hall Council - ihc@roanoke.edu
Inter-hall Council (IHC) works closely with the Residence Life staff in planning activities and making recommendations regarding policies, procedures, and activities of concern to residence hall students. IHC helps plan and co-sponsors the yearly Room Lottery and Selection Process and the annual Roommate Game. The organization also purchases various residence hall equipment that is made available for loan at no cost for residence hall students. IHC has representation from each Residence Hall. The IHC president and two other IHC members sit on the Student Government Association Senate.

Panhellenic Council - panhel@roanoke.edu
The Panhellenic Council is the governing council for the women's fraternities. Each fraternity is represented on the council by three delegates. Panhellenic Council is a member organization of the Student Government Association.

Student-Athlete Advisory Committee - athleticadvisorycouncil@roanoke.edu
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is a committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete experience and to offer input on the rules, regulations, and policies that affect student-athletes' lives on NCAA member institution campuses. General purposes of this committee are to: (1) generate a student-athlete voice within the NCAA structure; (2) solicit student-athlete response to proposed NCAA legislation; (3) recommend potential NCAA legislation; (4) review, react and comment to the governance structure on legislation, activities and subjects of interest; (5) actively participate in the administrative process of athletics programs and the NCAA; and (6) promote a positive student-athlete image.

Student Government Association - sga@roanoke.edu
The Student Government Association (SGA) of Roanoke College exists under the authority of the Board of Trustees and its designated Executive Officers. The SGA's purpose is to support the mission of the institution and uphold the college's standards of honesty, respect, and personal responsibility. This purpose is achieved by advising faculty, administrators and trustees about matters of concern to students and promoting scholarship, service, leadership, and citizenship among the student body. Students are members of numerous bodies, including the Board of Trustees Committee on Student Affairs, Academic Integrity Council, College Conduct Board, Student Conduct Council, Resources and Planning Council, Curriculum Committee, and Student Life Council. The President of the Student Body is invited as a student observer to meetings of the Board of Trustees and of the faculty. There are many opportunities for students to become involved in the SGA. Meetings are held weekly and are open to all members of the college community.
