Catawba Hall was built in the mid-1960s and designed to house a male fraternity. The residence hall underwent extensive renovations in the summer of 1998 and currently houses approximately 40 residents, both male and female. Catawba Hall is the designated Fine Arts theme hall for upper-class residents.

Catawba Hall is coeducational by alternating floor. The Area Coordinator for Catawba Hall is is Mrs Amanda McCarthy, who resides in the Allegheny apartment with her husband, Michael. Mrs. McCarthy may be reached at (540) 378-5146.
