SALEM, Va. - Roanoke College has rescheduled the Henry H. Fowler Public Policy Lecture by Alan Dershowitz to Tuesday, April 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the College's Bast Center. The event was originally scheduled for February 13 but had to be rescheduled due to illness. Complimentary tickets are required and available at www.roanoke.edu/tickets or by calling the Colket Center at (540) 378-5125. New tickets will be distributed for this event. Those who had tickets for the Feb. 13 lecture can call to reserve new tickets.

As a continuation of Roanoke College's series on "Exploration and Discovery," Dershowitz, a renowned defense attorney, author and law professor, will explore our evolving understanding of civil liberties in a world context. This lecture is co-sponsored by Temple Emanuel in Roanoke.

The Fowler lecture program serves as a forum for public affairs on the Roanoke College campus. Since its initiation in 1983, the program has brought to campus such political figures as former presidents Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford; former U.N. ambassador Jeane Kirkpatrick; former secretaries of state Henry Kissinger and Lawrence Eagleburger; civil rights leaders Julian Bond and Andrew Young; and former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
