SALEM, Va. - In order to raise funds for the philanthropy Push America, Roanoke College student and Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity member Jeremiah Morrow will be hosting a lunch catered by Carrabba's Italian Grill on April 22 at 1:30 p.m. on the Back Quad. Tickets cost $10 and are currently being sold outside the Sutton Commons in the Colket Center. This event is open to the public.

Morrow is hosting the lunch in order to raise money for two major Push America events, the first being Gear-Up Florida, a cycling trip that raises awareness on behalf of people with disabilities, and the second being Build America, a six-week construction program at camps for people with disabilities. He expects to raise $6,000 for the causes.

Push America gives Pi Kappa Phi brothers the opportunity to interact with people with disabilities in what are called Friendship Visits. Nearly every night on the Gear-Up Florida and Build America trips, there is a Friendship Visit with a local organization for disabled people where the brothers learn about the challenges overcome by people with handicaps. The past two summers, while taking part in Journey of Hope, Morrow experienced several Friendship Visits that have inspired him to keep fundraising, riding and building.
