Will I Get In as a Transfer Student?
Roanoke welcomes transfer students and special (non-degree) seeking students. About 15 percent of our students are transfers from other colleges or universities. By definition, a transfer student is someone who has attended another college or university after graduating from high school. If you are a high school student with Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB) or other college credits, you are considered a freshman applicant (with advanced standing) and should apply accordingly.
Transfer candidates must have a minimum 2.2 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) in transferable courses to be considered for acceptance.
