To be considered for these scholarships, you must complete the Scholars Program application and be a prospective college freshman seeking first-time fall enrollment. You must also be accepted to the College prior to the competition. 

Instructions & Dates

  1. The competition dates are November, February and March.
  2. Applicants must be prospective college freshmen who are seeking first-time enrollment for the fall semester.
  3. Students must submit the admissions application and be accepted to the College prior to the competition.  Official high school transcripts and SAT and/or ACT scores must be submitted by the deadlines outlined below.
  4. Admissions and Scholarship Application Deadlines: TBA.
  5. Scholarship applicants must list two references. One should be your guidance counselor and the other a teacher.
  6. Semifinalists will be notified in October for the November competitions and in January for the February & March competitions.
  7. In order to be considered for the Beard, Bittle, Baughman, Dreher and Morehead Scholarships, semifinalists are required, with no exception, to participate on campus in one of the scheduled competitions.
  8. Scholarship recipients will be notified in December for the November competitions, in March for the February competitions and in April for the March competitions.
