Mission Statement
The Division of Student Affairs is dedicated to helping the students of Roanoke College become well-rounded, responsible individuals who are contributing members of society and who strive to live by the Judeo-Christian values for which the college stands. Furthermore, students are encouraged to understand and appreciate their own uniqueness as well as that of others. The Division seeks to accomplish this purpose by assisting students in their intellectual, emotional, spiritual, moral, social, cultural, and physical development. To achieve this purpose, the Division strives to maintain a college environment that encourages freedom, exploration, exchange, and responsibility while providing for the health, safety, and welfare of all members of the campus community.
