The Department of Biology offers Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Biology. The Department's curriculum, aligned with the College's curriculum, is designed to expose students to the core ideas and concepts of Biology placed in a historical perspective. Our goal is for students to acquire a broad foundation in biological science while challenging them to make connections with the other components of their Roanoke College experience. An important part of our plan is to help our students develop a sense of understanding and responsibility regarding our impact on the world from the local through the global levels. Our ultimate goal is to prepare our students for life after Roanoke, whatever career path they may choose.
